Nevada Aging & Disability Resource Center

Who We Are

The Nevada Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) program is sponsored jointly by the Administration on Aging and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The Division for Aging Services (DAS) has designed a Resource Center Program that provides citizen-centered “one-stop” entry points into the long term support system and that will serve seniors and individuals with disabilities who need long term support, their family caregivers, and those planning for future long term support needs. These Resource Centers provide awareness and information on long term support, counseling or consultation on long term support options, benefits counseling, and referral to other programs and services. ADRCs also provide eligibility screening for long term supports, and assist individuals by facilitating the processes of determining eligibility, and reducing the number of interactions with multiple agencies in order to receive services.

Our goal is to provide One-Stop access to all public programs for community and institutional long term support services administered by the state under Medicaid, those portions of Older Americans Act programs devoted to long term support services, and any other publicly funded services for long term care

We are pleased to have Nevada Care Connection as our partner with this project. We are working together to provide family members, providers, paraprofessionals and others with information and resources to help them with their caregiver roles and responsibilities.

The Nevada Division for Aging Services Since 1971, the Nevada Division for Aging Services has been the primary advocate for Nevada's seniors. Since that time the Division for Aging Services, has developed, implemented and coordinated programs for seniors throughout Nevada. The Division is responsible for carrying out all of the activities defined in the federal Older Americans Act, as the single state planning and service unit. The mission of the Division for Aging Services is to develop, coordinate, and deliver a comprehensive support service system in order for Nevada's senior citizens and others in need of long term supports, to lead independent, meaningful, and dignified lives.
