The Mina Care & Share Senior Center provides on-site meals and Meals on Wheels (MOWs) to homebound seniors who cannot get to the Center for meals. Meals are served at 11:30 am, Tuesday through Thursday. Cost of meals for seniors 60 years of age and older is a suggested donation of $2 per meal. Guests and non-seniors may receive a meal for $4.00 (unless meeting the dependent/caregiver criteria). Transportation is provided weekly to Hawthorne for shopping, errands, and medical appointments. In addition, transportation is provided to Bishop, California and Fallon for shopping and medical appointments. Recreational trips are scheduled on occasion. Transportation fees vary. Other services include a lending library and exercise equipment available to the local community, arts and crafts, Bingo, special holiday buffets, monthly birthday luncheons, Health Nurse visits, computer and internet use, and social services coordination/referrals.
